Anesthesia Videos
Anesthesia is administered to keep the patient comfortable and pain-free during surgery, medical procedures, or tests. An anesthesiologist determines the form of anesthesia to best suit the patient’s health and their surgery requirements. Our skilled anesthesia team is trained to provide care throughout all stages of the procedure.
General Anesthesia:
Patient has a complete loss of consciousness. It is used for major surgeries and usually requires breathing assistance.
Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC):
MAC is often used for minimally invasive procedures like colonoscopies. The level of sedation ranges from minimal-drowsy, but able to speak to a deeper level of consciousness.
Regional Anesthesia:
Regional anesthesia blocks sensation in a specific area of the body, such as spinal or epidural anesthesia: it is often used in childbirth or orthopedic surgeries.
Lumbar Puncture and Spinal Anesthesia:
A technique used to provide anesthesia block, or loss of sensation for surgery involving the lower body.
