Pamela Weigandt, MD

President & Board Chair

Dr. Weigandt attended Mercer University School of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at Vanderbilt University. With significant experience in anesthesia and healthcare leadership, she founded MAK Anesthesia in 2012.

Lance Wersland, MBA, MSHA

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Wersland completed graduate studies at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. He then served in the US Navy for 11 years in hospital administration and financial management, completing advanced training in Lean Six Sigma and High Reliability Organization.

Jacob Kessen, CRNA, MBA

Vice President of Operations

Mr. Kessen completed his MSN degree in Nurse Anesthesia at Augusta University. He spent five years as a CRNA and administrator at a large academic medical center in Kansas City before moving to Georgia. He also recently completed an Executive MBA.

Richard Rubio, MD, MBA

Chief Medical Officer

After receiving his M.D. from Stanford University, Dr. Richard Rubio completed his residency at Medical College of Georgia and obtained a critical care fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital / University of Miami. He also earned a masters of business administration from the University of Miami. Dr. Rubio brings a great deal of physician leadership and medical quality skills to the organization.

Nick Witcher Jr, CPA, CGMA

Chief Financial Officer

Nick Witcher Jr, CPA, CGMA  is MAK Anesthesia’s Chief Financial Officer. He is an experienced financial executive with twenty-five years of experience in finance and operations management. As a hands-on business leader with an open management style he serves as a trusted advisor to senior executives on finance and accounting and general business matters. He is both a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant with extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
